What we did, step by step

We have gone from a robot that downloaded public contract noticessource 1 to checking that every tender and every person mentioned in the criminal complaint is linked to a document in the investigation filesource 2. These are the steps of the method, each with its date and source.

In detail

· One repository for everything

We opened a repository holding all the material from the investigationsource 3. Every change is recorded with its author and datesource 4, as entered by whoever makes it: this is not an independent timestamp.

· Every contract, with its official link

From the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público (Spain's official public procurement platform) and the regional platformssource 5 we extracted the tenders we were going to studysource 6. Each row keeps the official web address of the contract file, so that each one can be checkedsource 7.

· First draft with our lawyer

With Miguel Gadea, our lawyer, we wrote the first draft of the criminal complaintsource 8. That same day we updated our guidelines for working with AI toolssource 9.

· The archive goes into the Clone

We handed the investigation archive to the Clone, Miguel Ángel Domínguez's digital brain, so that it could organise what we knew about the casesource 10,source 11.

· Antigravity joins

We passed the case to Antigravity, from Googlesource 12, to integrate it into the digital brainsource 13,source 14. The instructions, written by Miguel Ángelsource 15, made its role clear: You are not a lawyer, you do not decide litigation strategy, you do not sign. (our translation)source 16

· The Platform's complete data

We downloaded the Platform's open data filessource 17 and recorded, for each one, its official address, its date, its size and its SHA-256 hashsource 18. We also kept a copy of every filesource 19. With that list, anyone who has it can download each file again from its official address and check that its hash matchessource 20. If the Platform regenerates a file, its hash changes even though nobody has tampered with it. Claude Code, from Anthropicsource 21, joined that daysource 22.

· Audit of the entire investigation file

We checked every statement in the investigation file against its original source and adjusted it to what that source provessource 23.

· Hash manifest

We generated the SHA-256 hash manifest of the investigation file: a list with the hash of each filesource 24. If a single bit of a file changes, its hash is differentsource 25.

· Every reference in the complaint, with its document

We checked that every tender and every person mentioned in the complaint is linked to a document in the investigation filesource 2.

What comes next

Very soon we will file the criminal complaint. We will publish it when the Public Prosecutor's Office allows us to.
